Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, produce high-quality cross-sectional images, and perform radiography and fluoroscopy as part of the radiology team in The Dalles, OR. The role emphasizes patient safety, HIPAA compliance and accurate image transfer via PACS.

The technologist will maintain equipment, manage supplies, and support radiologists with diagnostic imaging, while adhering to hospital policies and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license preferred in OR/CA; required in general per policy.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and produces cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
• Performs general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures HIPAA compliance.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and manages supply inventory.

JOB DESCRIPTIONIn the heart of The Dalles, Oregon, Adventist Health Columbia Gorge has served the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901. Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. This position is represented by OFNHP.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): RequiredAdvanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CABasic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and ORVenipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Essential Functions:Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
