Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform all CT procedures for diagnosis and treatment. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate data entry in the RIS, and collaboration with radiologists.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree, ARRT certification with an advanced CT registry within 1 year, and CPR certification. Minimum one year of patient care experience is preferred; evenings shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all CT procedures designed within the CT Section of Radiology.
• Demonstrates competency in patient care for all ages from neonatal to geriatric.
• Reviews patient charts, orders and lab results; communicates with Radiologist regarding procedure.
• Prepares patient for procedures and answers questions or directs questions to Radiologist.
• Records exam start and end times in RIS to ensure timely study access for Radiologist.
• Maintains safe environment with attention to radiation exposure, contrast administration and universal precautions.
• Provides quality patient relations and explains procedures to help meet patient satisfaction goals.
• Performs QA of exams: correct order, image annotation, laterality, and presentation state prior to interpretation.
