Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures for diagnosing diseases. The role is evenings shift and requires ARRT registration.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences required.
• ARRT registration required; newly graduated must register within 12 months.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain safety and privacy per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for diagnosis.
• Assess patient and prepare for procedure; answer questions and refer questions to radiologist.
• Minimize patient discomfort and provide privacy during radiographic examinations.
• Record exam start/end times in RIS to ensure timely access for radiologist.
• Ensure safe environment: radiation protection, infection control, Universal Precautions.
• Monitor timeliness of exam and quality of care per department goals.
• Perform QA of exams and correct annotations before sending to radiologist.
• Submit work orders for Clinical Technology Services if equipment is down.
• Other duties as assigned.
