DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering a comprehensive heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace’s joint replacement program features minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgeries attracting patients nationwide. Sinai-Grace operates over 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers across Wayne and Oakland Counties. It is one of 10 hospitals nationally awarded a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to set standards in cardiac care.

Summary Description

• Performs diagnostic CT exams using appropriate imaging equipment under general supervision following established policies and procedures.
• Verifies patient identity, reviews medical records, and assesses risk factors such as medications and pregnancy.
• Explains procedures to patients, including side effects, risks, benefits, and follow-up.
• Sets up equipment, acquires images, reviews images, and communicates with radiologists.
• Provides post-care instructions, participates in quality improvement activities, and educates staff and students.
• May perform radiologic technologist duties as needed and take call/standby shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) or CT preferred.
• Completion of AHA BLS training by end of orientation.
• One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or in advanced CT certification.

• Analytical, clinical, and technical skills for patient care and equipment operation.
• Effective communication skills to instruct patients and collaborate with staff.
• Physical stamina for patient handling and equipment operation.
