Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Location: Henry Ford St. John Hospital, 22101 Moross Rd, Detroit, MI 48236

Shift: PRN, shift and hours vary depending on department needs

Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice and regulations, observing patient during procedures, and following radiation safety procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR
• Associate's degree/Technical degree, OR
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist credentialed from NMTCB prior to hire or transfer, with NMTCB(CT) Certification, or ARRT(CT) Certification in Computed Tomography, or ARRT Certification in Radiography with Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty.
