Job Description Summary

This position operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. Responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties are performed per approved protocol.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Obtain patient clinical history for the procedure.
2. Review lab values and screen patients for allergies to determine contraindications to contrast media.
3. Administer oral and IV contrast media.
4. Operate CT scanners for various procedures.
5. Coordinate workload with other clinical sections and departments.
6. Monitor quality in patient care functions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (Required)
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Driver's License (if in a Home Care department)

Additional Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Ohio Radiologic License
• BLS Certification
• In the Home Care department: Valid state driver’s license, acceptable Motor Vehicle Report, proof of insurance if applicable.
