Position Summary

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for diagnosis according to radiologists' protocols.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and positioning patients accurately.
• Administering contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Monitoring patient during procedures and reporting abnormalities.
• Following radiation safety procedures.
• Verifying patient identity and documenting pertinent information.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and completing necessary forms.
• Starting intravenous access and performing injections as needed.
• Managing oxygen therapy and maintaining skills related to oxygen tanks.

Qualifications

• Certification: ARRT-RN and MRTBE, ARRT-CT (within 2 years of hire), BLS (American Heart Association).
• Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
• Experience: At least 1 year as a radiologic technologist; previous CT experience preferred.
