Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a CT Technologist (PRN) to join our radiology team. You will demonstrate knowledge of CAT Scan protocols, manage exam preparations and patient instructions, and ensure safety with shielding as needed. You will collaborate with Radiologists on contrast usage and perform post‑processing of imaging data.

The role involves assisting physicians during invasive procedures and during codes, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent.
• State licensure as radiologic technician and ARRT registration.
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of CAT Scan exam protocols.
• Prepare exam and provide patient instructions.
• Apply radiation protection methods and shielding as needed.
• Obtain patient history and coordinate with Radiologist on contrast use.
• Handle post-processing of data.
• Assist physician during invasive procedures when needed.
• Assist during codes as required.

What You Will Do In This Role

• You will demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams.
• You will be in charge of exam preparations and patient instructions.
• You will utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary.
• You will obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage.
• You will be responsible for the post processing of data.
• You will assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide best patient care.
• You will assist during codes.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• State Registered Radiologic Technician.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
• Associate Degree.
