Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float CT Technologist to operate scanners for diagnostic imaging. This full-time multimodality role travels to multiple metro centers and covers CT, X-ray and injections with a 8:00am-4:30pm/8:30am-5:00pm schedule and weekend rotation. Training in CT is available, and there is no on-call requirement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures and positioning.
• Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjusts scanning parameters and uses dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
• Follows physicians' orders, maintains RIS records, and adheres to safety regulations.
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Keeps a clean, safe work area for patients and staff.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$47.47 based on direct and relevant experience.

There is a $3,000 relocation or sign-on bonus for this role! RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float CT Technologist to join our team. As a Float CT Technologist, you will beresponsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a fulltime multimodality position traveling to multiple centers in the metro working in CT, Xray and Carm (diagnostic and therapeutic injections) Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5:00pm, includes weekend rotation. **Willing to train in CT and no call**

This position is also available part-time in a 0.8 or 0.9 status.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
