Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for our Newark, NJ facility in a full-time capacity. The role entails producing high quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and effectively communicating with patients and radiologists.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT CT registry (or NMTCB in lieu), state licensure, CPR, and a solid customer service orientation. This position offers competitive pay and benefits with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
• ARRT CT registry or NMTCB CT certification acceptable in lieu of ARRT.
• State license and CPR certification required.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Communicates with patients and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists.
• Troubleshoots scanner and peripheral equipment.
