Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a CT Technologist PRN for the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth location. The role focuses on CT imaging in Radiology, with PRN variable shifts including rotating weekends and holidays.

The CT Technologist will explain procedures, position patients, and ensure high-quality imaging following department protocols. Requirements include ARRT CT certification, BCLS, and at least 1 year radiologic technologist experience with CT or similar

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required).
• Associate Degree (preferred).
• 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or No experience with ARRT-CT (required).
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required).
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family prior to and during exam, imaging correct area per protocols, and performing complex procedures with age-related criteria.
• Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, adjust technique or repeat procedures as needed.
• Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
• Assess and recognize patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
• Operate, care for and maintain equipment.
• Prepare room for examination (suction, oxygen, supplies).
• Administer contrast media and other medications per guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients.
