Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate imaging equipment, position patients and ensure high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced environment. You will verify orders, prepare patients, apply sterile technique, and maintain patient privacy during exams.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to Joint Commission standards, and the ability to handle emergencies with composure while collaborating with radiologists, nurses and other staff to deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• BLS / ARC-BLS / BLS-I certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to minimize patient radiation dose while maintaining image quality.
• Report equipment problems to supervisor or service provider.
• Clean, disinfect and maintain imaging equipment per policy.
• Verify clinician orders and obtain complete patient history.
• Ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
• Review images and release patients when appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies and restock crash cart.
• Assist other technologists in other modalities when needed.
