Job summary

Tufts Medicine is hiring a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures on pediatric and adult patients in a high-quality radiology department. The role requires accreditation in radiologic technology, ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, and a Massachusetts Radiation Control Board license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Radiologic Technologist license required; MA Radiation Control Board license preferred.
• ARRT-CT (AART) or NMTCB CT certification required or registry-eligible.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year CT technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures on pediatric and adult patients per department policy and safety standards.
• Verify patient identity, positioning, and imaging site before exams.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and verify imaging protocol and scanner settings.
• Maintain ALARA principles and patient/staff safety for CT equipment.
• Operate CT systems, adjust windowing/contrast, and create reformatted images.
• Ensure proper identification and documentation on all scans (name, date, accession, etc.).
• Administer contrast material and demonstrate IV skills as needed.
• Use point-of-care labs (I-STAT) and interpret results to guide contrast dosing.
• Coordinate workflow and triage patients to exam rooms based on acuity.
• Supervise students and communicate with radiologists and ordering physicians.
