Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a CT Technologist for flex/PRN shifts. You will perform CT procedures, operate advanced imaging equipment, and work with physicians and patients to ensure accurate diagnostic images.

The role requires CT registration within one year of hire, ARRT registry, and BLS. Expect variable hours and a collaborative team environment with opportunities to train staff and travel between Carilion facilities as needed.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• CT registered within one year of hire and ARRT registry.
• Life Support: AHA-BLS-HCP.

• Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain quality images.
• Work with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients.
• Perform IV contrast injections and related skills.
• Position and evaluate patients to optimize image quality.
• Interpret information to identify patient requirements and provide care per policy.

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare

HOURS: Flex/PRN- variable shifts/hours as needed.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist

• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.
• Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
• Evaluates and positions patients.
• Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
• Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned.
• May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: none

Licensure/Certification: Must be CT registered within one year of hire. ARRT registry

Life Support: AHA-BLS-HCP

Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range

$33.52 - $50.28
