Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, Virginia, seeks a CT Technologist (flex/PRN) to perform computed tomography procedures, operate imaging equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and the care team to deliver accurate diagnostics.

Responsibilities include injecting IV contrast, positioning patients, and ensuring safety and image quality per policy. Travel to other Carilion facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• No prior experience required
• CT registration within one year of hire; ARRT registry

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare

Hours: Flexible day/hours/shifts

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist

• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.
• Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
• Evaluates and positions patients.
• Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
• Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned.
• May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: none

Licensure/Certification: Must be CT registered within one year of hire. ARRT registry

Life Support: AHA-BLS-HCP

Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range

$33.52 - $50.28
