Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT scan examinations for inpatients and outpatients, under the direction of a Radiologist or ER Physician. You will gather clinical data, maintain patient records, and ensure timely completion of exams and billing.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiologic program, ARRT or NMTCB CT certification, and MA licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by ARRT or NMTCB in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scan examinations appropriate to patient age in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Completes all records, paperwork and billing promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Performs QC on images and sends exams to PACS for physicians to review.
• Maintains inventory and assists with purchasing needed supplies.
• Assists with urgent exam requests and scheduling.
• Performs CT exams using contrast media under direction of Radiologist or ER Physician.
• Establishes IV access for contrast injection per policy.
