Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to perform CT examinations for diverse patient populations in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires ARRT/NMTCB CT certification and MA licensure, with emphasis on accurate data capture and patient care.

Responsibilities include operating CT equipment with contrast, ensuring QC, maintaining records, and coordinating with radiologists. Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton may occur to support operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by ARRT or NMTCB for diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Ability to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Completes records, paperwork and billings promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Completes exams, performs QC on images and sends exams to PACS for physicians to review.
• Maintains inventory and assists with supplies purchasing.
• Assists with urgent exam requests and scheduling.
• Under Radiologist/Emergency Room Physician guidance, performs CT exams with contrast media.
• Establishes IV access for contrast injection.
• Travels between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton to provide support.
• Float requirements apply to Nashoba Valley's newly hired staff.
