Job summary

Northwell Health’s CT Scan team seeks a CT Technologist to produce diagnostic CT images per protocol, ensure patient safety, and coordinate care within the radiology department. The role requires completing radiologic technology training, NYS license, and ARRT CT certification or within one year of hire.

Weekends/holidays may be required; serves at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in NY, with salary range listed for hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT CT certification or acquire within 1 year of hire.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CT patient throughput and prioritize exams.
• Identify patient and verify imaging order with safety checks.
• Explain procedures to patients with professionalism.
• Perform IV cannulation and iStat testing per policy.
• Position patient and select appropriate imaging protocol.
• Operate power injectors under physician supervision.
• Demonstrate radiation safety knowledge and practice.
• Use post-processing workstations and archive studies.
• Follow infection control and maintain room readiness.
• Coordinate care and patient transport within radiology.
