Job summary

IHA's Chelsea Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners, prep patients, administer contrast, and follow ALARA protocols. Evening shift, full-time 36 hours per week, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for new hires.

Responsibilities include reviewing charts, proper positioning, documenting history, and ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality imaging. Training is provided for CT experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ARRT(R) registered radiographer.
• Advanced CT certification or CT registry-eligible (certification within one year of hire).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanners to obtain images for diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepares patients for procedures and administers contrast media.
• Operates scanners according to protocol using ALARA techniques.
• Review patient charts and radiological history to determine proper protocol.
• Identify patients, ensure proper positioning and immobilization.
• Explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients.
• Document patient history, reactions and follow up with referring physicians.
• Observe patient condition during CT exams and initiate emergency actions if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control procedures.
