Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient and adjusting equipment.
• Minimize radiation exposure by using protection techniques and shielding.
• Adheres to infection-control policies and maintains a safe, clean work environment.
• Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education.
• Ensures radiology equipment operates properly; performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Identifies patient service needs by establishing rapport with patients and others.
• Performs quality control and maintains accreditation and regulatory guidelines.
• Takes department call as assigned.
• Keeps up-to-date with new procedures and technology.
