Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Registered CT Technologist to provide high-quality CT imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure safety and accuracy in every exam.

The role requires ARRT CT or Radiography credentials, an associate degree, and BLS within 30 days of start date. You will work under the Imaging Services leadership and contribute to department PI activities.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential.
• An Associate Degree is required.
• ARRT-CT or ARRT-R certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT exam, explains procedure and ensures technical quality.
• Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards.
• Demonstrates ability to accurately provide quality CT examinations in a timely manner.
• Is able to handle high volume, high stress situations.
• Has exceptional critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Promotes professional growth by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education.
• Upholds high standards of customer service for patients, family, co-workers, and referring physicians.
• Actively participates in Imaging Department PI activities.
• Has knowledge of medical terminology used in Imaging.
• Serves as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff/students.
