Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX, is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and prepare patients for imaging exams. You will position patients to optimize image quality and ensure safety during contrast administration.

The role requires RT/Radiologic Technologist certification with ARRT-R, and BCLS within 30 days, plus on-site collaboration with physicians for accurate diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer certification.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification.

Responsibilities

• Explains process to patients and positions them for imaging.
• Operates CT equipment and acquires cross-sectional images.
• Demonstrates competency in patient preparation, scheduling and education.
• Monitors patient vital signs and radiology safety procedures.
• Assesses labs and IV procedures as needed for imaging.
• Applies knowledge of contrast agents and dose factors.
