Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a CT Technologist for PRN shifts in the Leander Free Standing ED. You will perform CT imaging and radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety and high standards of care.

The role requires ARRT certifications, MRT, BLS, and hospital policy compliance. The successful candidate will have radiology experience and be adept at patient interaction, contrast administration, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced ED

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist – preferred.
• One year experience as a CT Technologist - preferred.
• Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• ARRT (Radiology) certification.
• ARRT (CT) certification within 90 days of CT assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and X-rays according to ARRT/ACR/TMB standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, disease processes, patient care and radiation protection.
• Verify orders match requisition prior to performing exam.
• Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered.
• Administer contrast material using proper technique.
• Enter charges and review for accuracy.
• Correlate patient history with procedure and document findings.
• Manage patient flow to prioritize exams and optimize efficiency.
