You will position patients, select protocols, administer contrast media as needed, and ensure ALARA radiation safety principles are followed to minimize exposure for patients and staff. Primary responsibilities include image transfer to PACS and routine equipment quality checks.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• CT imaging experience preferred.
• ARRT registration required; state licensure and BLS certification required.

Aufgaben

• Perform computed tomography examinations on inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients.
• Verify patient identity and review each requisition for consistency with the clinical indication.
• Position patients and select protocols and technical factors to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Apply ALARA principles and radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.
• Transfer images to PACS, maintain accurate records and perform routine equipment quality checks.
