Job summary

Bon Secours in Virginia is seeking a CT Technologist (WEO) to operate CT scanning equipment and provide direct patient care with compassion and timeliness. You will assist radiologists, position patients, and ensure safe use of contrast agents while maintaining CT IT systems.

The role involves working with the Radiology team at Maryview Medical Center, with on-call rotation and opportunities to grow in a mission-driven health system. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• Advanced modality registration in CT (preferred, or must obtain within two years).
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed).

Responsibilities

• Assures the quality of all images and confirms that all pertinent patient/procedural data is correct.
• Performs computed tomography procedures.
• Performs timeout as required per policy.
• Properly positions patients on CT scanning cradles and immobilizes patients with appropriate devices.
• Makes radiation exposures by energizing scanner per physician request and patient history.
• Performs intravenous injections and demonstrates knowledge of contrast agents.
• Assists radiologist with biopsies and drainage procedures using sterile techniques.
• Maintains knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
• Participates in on-call rotation as required.
