Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures with a strong emphasis on patient safety and image quality. You will operate CT equipment, adhere to ALARA principles, and coordinate exam workflow to support radiologists and patients.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper protocol adherence, documenting procedures, and maintaining a safe, efficient imaging suite in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• IEMA Accreditation and BLS certification required.
• ARRT CT certification within 12 months of hire or 10+ years relevant experience.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging, including screening and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment to optimize image quality within protocols.
• Reviews images for diagnostic adequacy and initiates corrective action as needed.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains room readiness.
• Adheres to radiation safety, ALARA principles and safety standards.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Documents exam setup, image routing, and results in PACS.
