Job Summary
As a CT Technologist, you will perform diagnostic CT examinations, manage contrast administration, and support patient care on a Thursday‑Saturday schedule from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. On‑call and call‑back responsibilities may be required to ensure optimal patient service.
Responsibilities
- Select appropriate technical factors for each study and perform accurate, compassionate CT examinations.
- Demonstrate thorough operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
- Assist with the administration of contrast media and related procedures.
- Position, transfer, and prepare patients securely and with modesty, using auxiliary equipment as needed.
- Document clinical information, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields in MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- Capture high‑quality images, ensuring only optimal studies are submitted for interpretation.
- Maintain proficiency with software protocols and stay current through in‑service training, courses, or seminars.
- Communicate proactively with patients, radiologists, and other caregiving colleagues.
- Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness, and keep the room stocked with linens and supplies to prevent contamination.
- Accept on‑call and call‑back duties as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency plus college/technical training.
- Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients or equipment up to 100 lbs.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute‑care hospital setting.
