Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You’ll be a respected member of the radiology team, contributing to efficient workflow and patient care.

The role requires ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications, plus at least 1 year in Radiology. A full-time daytime schedule with competitive pay and relocation assistance for eligible candidates is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certifications: ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during exams.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exams if needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock and maintain equipment.
