Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Radiology CT Scan Technologist to join the department under the supervision of the Senior CT Scan Technologist. You will provide direct patient care and perform CT exams using contrast media according to department policy and procedures.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB CT certification and Massachusetts licensure, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• Registered by ARRT or NMTCB in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
• Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support.
