Job summary

Mercy Health in Clermont Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging and direct patient care with compassion. You will operate CT equipment, ensure image quality, and manage contrast administration while supporting radiologists.

The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and 1 year CT/rad tech experience is preferred. On-call rotation and EPIC/PACS familiarity are expected, with a strong focus on safety and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • ARRT-registered education preferred and ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology required.
  • BLS certification required at hire for locations; ARRT registration required.
  • 1 year CT or Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
  • Advanced CT modality registration preferred or able to obtain within two years.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Position patients correctly and maintain safety and sterile techniques.
  • Administer contrast agents as prescribed and monitor patient status.
  • Assist radiologist with biopsies or invasive procedures as needed.
  • Maintain CT IT systems knowledge including PACS and Radiant.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.

CT Technologist (Harmonized) – Clermont Hospital
Job Summary:

The CT Technologist applies the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of CT scanning equipment in a way that provides direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner. The CT Technologist assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.

Essential Functions:
  • Assures the quality of all images and confirms that all pertinent patient/procedural data is correct.
  • Performs computed tomography procedures.
  • Performs timeout as required per policy.
  • Properly positions patients on CT scanning cradles and properly immobilizes patients with appropriate devices to obtain desired position.
  • Makes radiation exposures by energizing scanner per physician request and patient history.
  • Performs intravenous injections and demonstrates a knowledge of use and care of existing IVs, administers oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contracts agents specific to procedures.
  • Assists the radiologist with biopsies, drainage procedures, etc. utilizing sterile techniques, exhibiting safe and effective use of all contrast and radiation materials.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
  • Participates in on call rotation as required.

Education:
  • Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
Required Licensing & Certifications:
  • BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
  • Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within two years)
  • State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
Experience:
  • 1 year of experience as CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
