Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Current state licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as RT with interest in CT cross-training.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and human anatomy.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with positioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
• Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions during examinations.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to optimize image quality.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing new CT protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients about CT procedures and address concerns.
