Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures at the cardiovascular center in Norwalk, CT, with rotating coverage in Bridgeport. You will select exposure factors, operate Siemens CT equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to produce high-quality images.

The ideal candidate is a Licensed Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification (or willing to obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures to assist radiologists in diagnosis.
• Operate CT equipment with proper sterile technique and safety.
• Collaborate with Cardiovascular team to ensure quality imaging.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
