Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Cardiovascular CT team in Norwalk, CT welcomes CT Technologists to perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center. You will work with Radiology colleagues to produce high-quality cross-sectional images and participate in complex invasive CT examinations with proper sterile technique.

Licensed Radiologic Technologist and CT ARRT certification within 12 months are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the CT regulatory body prior to hire date or transfer date.
• ARRT CT certification required within 12 months of job entry date.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a cardiovascular walk-in center following established protocols.
• Select correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields for high-quality cross-sectional images.
• Assist radiologist or physician assistant in complex invasive CT examinations using proper sterile technique.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
