Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a cardiovascular walk-in center in Norwalk, CT, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage in Bridgeport. You will work with the Radiology team to produce high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnosis.

Licensed Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification within 12 months is required; graduate from an accredited Radiography program.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a cardiovascular center following established protocols to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Assist Radiologist or Physician's Assistant in complex CT examinations with proper sterile technique and accurate CT images.
• Contribute to cross-training and continuous improvement in imaging quality and patient safety.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
