The CT Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates CT Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This equipment includes scanners, post-processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport, and patient monitoring equipment.
Requires moderate to heavy physical effort, including lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting. Frequent stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, or kneeling. Exposure to physical conditions like walking on hard surfaces and climbing stairs. Must follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure.
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine, with an advanced registry in CT scanning from ARRT within one year of hire. Current CPR certification is also required.
