Qualifications

• State regulations may necessitate licensure and ARRT CT certification.
• BLS certification may be required depending on state rules.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality radiologic, CT exams on incoming patients.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or problems and take action.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Guide patients through procedures by explaining steps and answering questions.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguards patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards medications on site as per policy and law.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
