Job summary

Rego Park Imaging, an affiliate of Northwell Health, is seeking a CT Technologist to join our high-volume ambulatory imaging center. You will operate state-of-the-art CT scanners and perform scans across body, chest, neuro, MSK, and advanced cardiac studies, contributing to precise diagnostics with patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.) required for positions filled after Sept 5, 2010.
• ARRT registration in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 18 months of entry date.
• Certification in IV Contrast Administration within 6 months of entry date.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) within 6 months of entry date.
• Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist; CT experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens CT equipment and protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and explains procedures; sets up equipment.
• Ensures IV contrast questionnaire is completed and screens for pregnancy.
• Performs CT procedures including abdominal, thoracic, neurological, extremities, and planning tasks.
• Positions patient on exam table and ensures proper slice thickness and couch increments.
• Collaborates with Radiologist to adjust imaging parameters per protocol.
• Transmits cases to on-call Radiologist; administers IV and oral contrast as ordered; venipuncture as needed.
• Explains IV contrast administration; completes IV Contrast Information Sheet.
