Mercyhealth in Janesville, WI seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures and radiographic exams, while educating patients and ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.

The role requires ARRT radiography and CT registrations, Wisconsin or Illinois licensure if applicable, and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days. 12-hour shifts, 6pm-6am, with a focus on safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Radiographer experience preferred.
• CT experience preferred.
• ARRT Radiography registration required.
• ARRT CT registration required (or must be obtained within two years of hire).
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs diagnostic CT procedures.
• If assigned radiographer duties, also performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable exams.
• Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure and documents information for radiologist.
• Prepares patient and provides instructions to obtain desired results and reduce anxiety.
• Selects and operates imaging equipment to perform procedures.
• Positions patient to best demonstrate the area of interest, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains aseptic technique as necessary and administers contrast media; starts IV access.
• Initiates basic life support when necessary and provides patient education.
• Supports equipment decisions and inventory for the area; assists students and partners.

IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation (IL)
