Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, ensure diagnostic-quality images, and support interventional procedures. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with radiology teams.

The candidate will operate EPIC, PACS, and Teletracking systems, participate in daily QA, and follow infection control guidelines while assisting with interventional CT and contrast administration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex CT procedures.
• Evaluates radiographs for proper ID and diagnostic value.
• Prepares scanning protocols and patient safety information from medical records and proxies.
• Determines patient preparation for procedures.
• Preps patient for scanning and uses shielding as needed.
• Assists with CT-guided interventional procedures.
• Performs CT exams and administers contrast per protocols.
• Provides clear explanations to patients and answers questions.
• Performs venipuncture and maintains IV patency.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures.
• Reviews images for diagnostic value and decides on additional scans.
• Performs retrospective reconstruction on raw data.
• Provides instruction to students and staff.
• Adheres to infection control and safety protocols.
• Revises scanning parameters to improve visualization.
• Documents data in patient records and archives images.
• Assesses equipment performance and ensures QA.
• Lifts/carries loads and adheres to safety standards.
