Job summary

The position requires completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT certification within 9 months, and NJ radiology license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex CT procedures.
• Evaluates radiographs to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
• Preps patient and ensures safety, prepares scanning protocols and patient safety.
• Determines patient preparation adequacy for procedures.
• Assists providers with CT-guided interventional procedures as required.
• Performs CT exams and administers contrast per protocols.
• Provides clear explanations to patients and documents questions/concerns.
• Performs venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures.
• Reviews images for additional diagnostic value.
• Performs retrospective reconstruction on raw data.
• Provides instruction to staff and residents.
• Follows infection control guidelines and sterile techniques.
• Adheres to department protocols and quality standards.
• Documents data in appropriate records and archives images.
