Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and X-ray procedures in accordance with ARRT, ACR, and Texas Medical Board standards. This role supports accurate diagnosis and safe patient care.

Required are ARRT CT certification, Texas MRT license, BLS, and at least one year of CT experience. The position emphasizes efficient patient flow and precise RIS documentation.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a CT Tech preferred.
• Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Certified in Radiology by ARRT(R) and CT by ARRT(CT).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and take X-rays according to ARRT/ACR/TMB standards.
• Verify written order matches requisition prior to performing exam.
• Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered.
• Administer contrast material using proper technique.
• Enter appropriate charges and review for accuracy in RIS.
• Correlate patient history with the procedure for radiologist review.
• Manage patient flow to ensure exams are prioritized and completed efficiently.
