Job summary

Arkansas Heart Hospital, LLC. is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT scans in a timely and safe manner, following physician orders and patient charts. The role emphasizes patient education, collaboration with the care team, and cross-training into other modalities as needed.

The position requires radiologic technology education, ARRT certification, an active Arkansas license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months for those working in Cath/EP Lab. Experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology technology.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of employment for CT Technologists who also work in the Cath/EP Lab.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scan procedures in a timely manner; documents required information and communicates to primary physician and direct care staff.
• Coordinates and assists the care of patients in collaboration with other CT scan technologists, physicians, nurses and allied health staff.
• Evaluates patient condition to adequately perform CT scan exams.
• Explains procedures to patients and what is expected regarding cooperation.
• Provides comprehensive direct patient care in a safe, comforting environment.
• Ensures clinical equipment and supplies are available and safely utilized.
