Job summary

ScionHealth in Texas is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging in an acute care hospital. You will prep patients, position them, and ensure high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety protocols.

You will collaborate with radiologists and staff, verify patient history, manage contrast administration, and maintain EMR documentation, continuing education, and ARRT certification.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• TX MRT certificate or license may be required upon hire; see licensure section.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and software; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures following established protocols with patient safety in mind.
• Verify patient identity and obtain clinical history prior to procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under radiologist supervision.
• Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images for interpretation.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation for procedures performed.
• Practice radiation safety to minimize exposure.
• Assist in quality control, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
• Respond to emergencies including contrast reactions and provide care.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to optimize patient care.
• Pursue ongoing education to maintain ARRT certification and stay current.
