Job summary

UnityPoint Health is hiring a CT Technologist for the Radiology team in Des Moines, IA. This full-time position offers weekday overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

with a rotating holiday schedule and a $7,500 sign-on bonus. You will educate patients, assist with sedation and monitoring, support student training, and participate in quality assurance to protect patient safety. Role requires graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, ARRT CT certification within 6 months, CT

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT CT Board Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CT experience strongly preferred.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.
• CPR certified.
• Maintain yearly CEU requirements.
• Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a liaison between the Radiology Department, students, hospital staff and physicians.
• Educates and protects all customers entering the CT scanning room.
• Assists with sedating and monitoring of patients.
• Assists in the educational training of the Student Radiologic Technologists.
• Assists with quality assurance processes.
