Job summary

ChristianaCare Newark campus Imaging Department is seeking a Full-Time CT Technologist. This role requires ARRT CT registry, Delaware license, and CT Registry exam completion, with a weekend/holiday schedule.

A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is available for eligible candidates. Primary duties include conducting CT scans per protocol, patient assessment, contrast administration, safety, and pre-authorization verification.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT registry required.
• License by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection.
• Completion of CT Registry exam is required.
• Non-certified recruit has 2 years after hire to pass CT Registry exam.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT Scanner Units.
• Completes all technical imaging procedures on designated schedules.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by department protocols.
• Assists in the learning process of students and new staff in procedures and safety.
• Administers contrast media under physician supervision.
• Assesses patient status for adverse reactions or changes.
• Demonstrates ability with contrast media injectors.
• Performs i-STAT testing and calculates GFR per policy.
• Provides care for neonatal to geriatric patients.
