Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans as ordered by physicians
• Prepare and position patients accurately to ensure optimal imaging results
• Operate CT equipment and adjust technical parameters for precise image capture
• Administer contrast media when required, following safety protocols
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety standards and infection control practices
• Review and evaluate CT images for quality and completeness before submission to radiologists
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or issues promptly
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure timely diagnosis

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• ARRT certification (R) required; CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or obtained within a specified timeframe
• Texas state licensure (or eligibility)
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging techniques
• Strong patient care, communication, and critical-thinking skills
