Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services in Huntsville, AL is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure accurate image capture for radiologists.

You will follow safety standards, participate in patient flow, complete paperwork, and maintain equipment and PACS records, with strong communication and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
• State licensure required.
• Current ARRT CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures including patient prep and instruction.
• Verifies patient identification and physician orders prior to procedures.
• Gathers and reviews medical history to guide procedures and assist diagnosis.
• Completes paperwork and computer entries to expedite patient flow and ensure proper exam completion.
• Verifies images in PACS and ensures prompt release of images.
• Adheres to safety standards and radiology department policies.

Job Details: Job Location: Southeast - Center of Imaging Excellence Huntsville - Huntsville, AL, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs CT procedures to include instructing and preparing patients and performing the examination ordered.
• Assures the verification of patient’s identification and confirmation of physician’s orders prior to the performance of the procedure.
• Assures pertinent and thorough medical information/history is obtained to assist the radiologist in assessing that the appropriate procedures have been requested and provides him with valuable insight helpful in his/her diagnosis.
• Completes all necessary paperwork/computer work that will aid in expediting patient flow, assure proper completion of all exams requested, verifying images received in PACS and prompt release of all patients.
• Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards.
• Performs IV starts as required

Qualifications: Essential Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or similar field
• State licensure
• Current ARRT/CT certification.
• Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
• Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
