Responsibilities

• Perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures including CT examinations.
• Conduct CT-guided biopsy and drainage procedures.
• Execute basic radiographic procedures.
• Oversee fluoroscopy examinations and portable imaging.
• Provide imaging services in the Operating Room.
• Provide OR imaging services under radiologist direction.

Skills

Position Summary

The CT Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). This position is responsible for providing timely, high-quality diagnostic imaging services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and in accordance with departmental policies and protocols.

Required Qualifications

ARRT Certified in Computed Tomography ARRT (CT)

Key Responsibilities

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including but not limited to:

• Routine and advanced diagnostic CT examinations, including:
  • Head/Brain
  • Neck
  • Thorax
  • Spine
  • Abdomen and Pelvis
• CT-guided biopsy and drainage procedures
• Performance of basic radiographic procedures
• Fluoroscopy examinations
• Portable radiographic procedures
• C-arm imaging
• Operating Room (OR) imaging services

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrates proficiency in CT system operation and image processing

Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy

Experience with studies performed with and without contrast media

Understanding of surgical and sterile techniques

Adheres to radiation safety standards and departmental protocols
