Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients on examining tables.
• Administer contrast media, oral and/or IV, following department policies, patient history, exam protocols, and physician orders; provide post-exam instructions.
• Enter technical data such as scan type, slice thickness, and scan time into the computer.
• Communicate with patients before and during procedures; monitor safety and comfort.
• Review images to ensure quality and produce radiographs.
• Perform CT equipment QA and maintain logs.
• Handle clerical tasks like receiving orders, scheduling, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain and clean work areas and equipment; replenish supplies as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• ARRT certification
• IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety certification
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• 2-3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull with up to 50 pounds force

Preferred:

• ARRT registry in CT or MRI; willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire
