Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform all CT procedures and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced radiology department.

The role requires ARRT Registered Radiographer credentials with CT certification within 12 months of hire and BLS within 30 days. A one-year CT focus is preferred, with opportunities for continuing education and career growth.

Qualifications

• Required - Previous experience in Radiology.
• Preferred - One-year dedicated CT experience.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT certification in CT within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Performs all CT procedures.
• Observant of patient’s conditions.
• Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.
• Practices radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
• Understands and operates electronic information systems.
• Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
• Administers contrast media as required.
• Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
• Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.
• Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
